Butterick b6021 the worst pattern ever

I got this thinking it's really cute with the uneven hemline and super easy for summer since there's only five pieces. I've seen one review of it and she gave it pretty high marks considering she had to do darts to take in the wide shoulders as did I.

This is by far the most unflattering pattern I've ever used. Yes it was easy to sew, but for my body type which is pretty much a rectangle it is not flattering. there are much cuter patterns out there.

The dress is pretty straightforward there's only five pattern pieces and I did not bother lining the skirt since I didn't want to put any more effort into it. According to the pattern I was a size 12 but since I didn't want to be too big I cut a 10.

The under arm is a little small so I Cut them an inch larger.mthe straps were so long and wide that they just fell off my shoulders. Seems to be the most common problem.

Since I'm only 5'2 I did a compromise between the long and short, and cut the skirt right in the middle.

Even though I cut it small the shoulders are superwide I had to put a dart in the front. The skirt is very cute but the top does just not fit at all I don't know what they were thinking. I would not recommend this pattern at all.
